Melukote is a pilgrim centre for hindus as well as tourist place which is located at a distance of around 135 km from Bengaluru and 52 km from Mysore.It is in Pandavapura taluk, Mandya district. It is a set of rocky hills.

 

     On the top of the hill is an impressive temple of Yoga Narasimha. Cheluvanarayanaswamy temple is located at the centre of Melukote. Before visiting Sri Cheluvanarayana Swamy temple, people can visit the Pancha Kalyani pond. The pond is very big with mantaps.

 

    Behind this temple, two ponds are there ( akka tangi kola ).

  This place is also a well known location to film makers for shooting as the surrounding contains lot of scenic areas.

 

   Food and accomodation are available. Tonnur lake is the place of interest nearby.

  

   Puliyogere is famous in Melukote.
